- Define the reason for communication
- Be short and concise
- Use graphics to convey information
- Include signposting: indexing, jump-to buttons and clear labeling of articles
- Stay between 4-7 pages
- The first story should be the one of the most interest to your employees
- Make sure the content is relevant to the readers
- It has to be appealing, accessible and legible
- Use attractive images and large, clear sans serif typefaces
